Taoiseach travels to London to discuss British-Irish relations with Cameron

Enda Kenny’s visit is the first since the two leaders issued a joint statement to map out the next decade of collaboration.

TAOISEACH ENDA KENNY travels to London today for the first of a series of annual summits with David Cameron.

The meeting at 10 Downing Street follows the release of a joint statement by the two premiers last year, outlining a roadmap for Anglo-Irish relations for the coming decade.

Kenny will also use the meeting as a way of discussing Ireland’s priorities for the rest of its EU presidency – a thorny topic given Cameron’s pledge to hold a referendum on British EU membership if he wins the next election.

He will also meet with the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Roger Gifford, and address a City audience on the state of the Irish economy.

After his meeting with Cameron the Taoiseach will attend an event run by the not-for-profit Northern Ireland peace group CHAMP, which is hosting a St Patrick’s Day reception at the Palace of Westminster, the seat of the houses of parliament.

This evening Kenny will address an audience at the London School of Economics, at the invitation of former attorney general Peter Sutherland, who is the chair of its council.

The event marks the beginning of the Irish government’s diplomatic promotions for St Patrick’s Day.

Kenny and Cameron will meet again later this week when the heads of government of the 27 EU member states hold one of their regular summits in Brussels.

Vanity, insecurity, ego, shallowness, and weak personality are some of the reasons.

That was in reply to Trudy, asking why people can’t just age gracefully.

Here we go again – from boobs to Botox – grow old naturally – you cannot do Botox forever – then
You’ll see how gravity responds – leave this for any real reconstructive urgent surgery applications needed.
