Two men injured overnight in Belfast assaults

One man sustained serious head injuries and the other received facial injuries.

TWO MEN HAVE been injured in separate assaults at pubs in Belfast overnight.

The PSNI today appealed for information following the report of a man having sustained serious head injuries outside a bar in the Antrim Road area. The incident is believed to have happened shortly after midnight.

In a separate incident detectives in Musgrave are also investigating an assault inside a licensed premises in the Donegall Street area in the early hours of this morning.

Shortly after 12.15am Police received a report that a 31-year-old male had been assaulted. He sustained facial injuries which required hospital treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The assailant is described as being approximately 5’6″/5’7″ tall, slim build, in his early 20s and with short dark hair. He was in the company of two other males who were approximately 6′ tall.

Police are asking for anyone who may have any information about the first incident to contact them at York Road on 0845 600 8000. Anyone with information about the assault in the Donegall Street area can contact Musgrave Police Station on 0845 600 8000.

    At €8.50 a pop it’s not exactly budget friendly.
