A WOMAN ESCAPED after her car became submerged in a river in Drogheda today.
The woman was in her car when it entered the water at 12.15pm in an area called the ‘curly hole’ in Drogheda. The car became fully submerged.
The Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue & Recovery Service responded to the situation, sending two land crews and a rescue boat. They arrived on scene where a garda and bystanders were present and assisting the woman. The woman was able to escape from her car and was assisted by the rescue and recovery crews and gardaí.
The crew treated the woman for hypothermia and possible injuries as a result of the car rolling over and entering the water on scene until an ambulance arrived.
The woman was brought to Drogheda hospital for further treatment and assessment.

If we all had his positivity and good nature, what a world we would be living in. What a wonderful kid, good things do happen.
Wonderful brace child. I hope he continues to go from strength to strength. The bravery and selflessness of the parents who donated their child’s hands is outstanding. I think that must be harder to do than to donate organs somehow.
