Man charged in connection with heroin and firearm seizure

The 23-year-old is due in court tomorrow.

A 23-YEAR-OLD man is to appear at Tallaght District Court tomorrow, charged in connection with the seizure of a firearm and quantity of drugs last week.

The hearing is due at 10.30am.

The suspect was arrested in the Tallaght area last night in relation to last Thursday’s incident. He is the second person to be arrested over the midweek haul. A boy in his mid-teens was also arrested but was later released without charge.

On 4 April, gardaí found heroin and cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €200,000 in a car at Jobstown. A sawn-off shot gun and a number of cartridges were also found in the vehicle.
