Masked men steal large quantity of jewellery in Belfast burglary

The 61-year-old woman in the house at the time was uninjured but was left shaken.

DETECTIVES IN BELFAST are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary that occurred on Monday evening.

The incident occurred in the Deramore Drive area at approximately 9.50pm on Monday. Three masked men entered a house armed with a machete and a suspected firearm and took a large amount of jewellery.

The 61-year-old female resident of the house was uninjured in the incident but was left shaken, police said today.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact CID in Musgrave Police Station on 0845 600 8000. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.

    It’s a pity this poor woman didn’t have a gun. The fact is these scu m most probably knew she was alone.

    Makes me sick to think these fellas go around thinking its ok to do this to another human being
    The consequences of this can devastate a persons quality of life forever
    I really hope they get caught
