Speaking at today’s event, Lord Mayor of Dublin Naoise Ó Muirí said that the streets of the old city in Temple Bar provided “the perfect setting for this annual historic day of fun for all the family.”

“Handel definitely picked the best city in the world to premier his most famous piece and it’s great to see the on-going appreciation for this beautiful musical work,” he said.

Some of the best homes I was ever in were small houses. Small, simple, warm and friendly, where a cup of tea was never far away. What you speak of is a house competition. Bores displaying their houses to other bores.

Don’t you mean house rather than home, as a home is made from a family, while a house is made of wood or cement?
