SPAIN’S UNEMPLOYMENT RATE soared to a new record of 27.16 percent of the workforce in the first quarter of 2013 as the number of those without jobs surpassed six million, official data showed Thursday.
The unemployment rate jumped from 26.02 percent in the previous quarter. The number of unemployed climbed by 237,400 people to 6.2 million, the National Statistics Institute said.
Spain’s youth unemployment rate is now 55.7 per cent, according to Eurostat.

What they don’t look at in these stats is that for a lot of online deals sites such as Groupon, you have to enter an email address just to get on to the website and see the deals – while it’s still a ‘signup’, it might not have the same level of purchasing intent.

Fatcheese is the business. The ‘deals’ sites are pretty shite unless youre a woman, they are heavily loaded with beauticians & hairdressers etc. very little for men on them.
