A 44-YEAR-OLD WOMAN has been arrested in connection with a petrol bomb attack in Northern Ireland which left a man seriously injured.
A lit petrol bomb was thrown through the window of a house on Ben Varden Avenue in Derry on Friday night, injuring the 45-year-old man who was inside at the time. Police say two young men wearing hoodies and with scarves over their faces were involved.
Two neighbours managed to rescue the man who was brought to hospital. His injuries were initially described as life-threatening but are now considered serious but stable.
The woman was arrested in Derry by the PSNI this afternoon in connection with the attack. Police said she is currently assisting them with their enquiries.
